Mechanical Engineer OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in our Colorado Springs office. The qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in Mechanical Systems Design for the built environment, and an ability to develop construction documents in a collaborative environment of engineers within Bridgers & Paxton and working with architects and other engineers within the Rocky Mountain region. In this position, the ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in mechanical design and be capable of equipment selection, mechanical plan layout, specification writing, coordination with other consultants and team members, and client interaction. Other requirements include:Four-year college degree from an accredited Mechanical or Architectural Engineering programPassing the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and E.I. certification is a plusExperience with Revit, AutoCAD and other design related softwareKnowledge of various Building, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire, Energy Conservation, and Fuel Gas codesCreate, read and interpret mechanical systems, drawings and specificationsMaintain rapport with industry vendors and stay up to date on the latest mechanical system trends and solutions appropriate to building technologies and design/construction industryDevelop and design within a BIM design environmentCollaborate with the internal and external project team to execute a project from concept to completion including meeting attendance, site visits, response to RFIs, submittal review and responsesTravel to jobsites throughout the state and regionCommunicates well verbally, in writing, and graphically, with other engineers, clients, and code authorities.Excellent problem-solving skills.Strong personal ambition and work ethic.Bridgers & Paxton is one of the top 100 Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Consulting Engineering firms in the nation with a reputation for superb design services.
