Qualifications and Desired Experience

• Valid Louisiana Special Education Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate is required
• Solid grasp of special education practices, IEP development, and implementation
• Familiarity with PreK and Kindergarten curriculum and effective instructional strategies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, individualized instruction to students with special needs in a PreK/Kindergarten setting
• Develop, implement, and manage IEPs, maintaining compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations
• Work closely with other educators, support staff, and families to maximize student growth and achievement
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress regularly
• Offer insight and advocacy for early intervention best practices
