Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting young learners in a local school setting! We are seeking an experienced and compassionate educator to serve part-time on a contract basis, working with PreK and Kindergarten students who require specialized instruction and individualized support. This role is ideal for teachers adept in special education procedures, writing and following IEPs, and those who thrive in an early childhood environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana SPED Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate (required)
• Solid grasp of special education procedures, legal requirements, and best practices
• Experience crafting and implementing IEPs
• Expertise in PreK/Kindergarten curriculum, instructional strategies, and developmental milestones
• Ability to collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication skills and a patient, inclusive approach

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction to early learners in compliance with IEPs and district guidelines
• Modify curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, IEP meetings, and required documentation
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure holistic support
• Foster a nurturing classroom environment that values each student’s unique abilities
• Remain current on best practices and legal updates within special education

Position Details:

• Contract assignment through 5/21/27
• Based onsite at a local campus, serving as a Special Education Teacher
• Part-time schedule: approximately 4 hours per day, 4 days per week
