Work closely with PreK and Kindergarten children, ensuring individualized instruction and special education best practices are used every day.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Louisiana SPED Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate is required
• Proven understanding of special education procedures and development of IEPs
• Experience with PreK and Kindergarten curriculum and instruction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other educators, families, and support staff
• Positive, patient, and flexible attitude to meet the needs of diverse learners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to PreK/Kindergarten students, supporting their academic and developmental goals
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) while maintaining all required documentation
• Adapt curriculum and lesson plans to accommodate various learning abilities and needs
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported
• Communicate clearly and consistently with families and colleagues to maximize student progress and well-being

This is a part-time, onsite position based out of Gibsland-Coleman High School, offering a consistent schedule of approximately 4 hours per day, 4 days per week—ideal for educators seeking meaningful work with a healthy work-life balance.
