Our IT services firm is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Level 1 Computer Technician for contract-based client work. This is a hybrid role combining remote helpdesk activities with on-site routine maintenance visits across the Greater Phoenix metro area .

You will be the first line of defense for our small business clients (ranging from 2 to 25 users), handling hardware, software, and email configurations. We need an independent self-starter who possesses excellent communication skills and can confidently guide non-technical users through standard IT issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Remote Helpdesk Support: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve daily incoming hardware and software tickets from remote workstations.
• On-Site Maintenance: Travel to local Phoenix client sites to perform routine computer health checks, physical cleanings, and hardware diagnostics.
• OS & Application Management: Install, update, and configure applications across both Windows and macOS environments.
• Email & Cloud Provisioning: Set up, configure, and troubleshoot client email accounts across Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, and GoDaddy Email platforms.
• Independent Execution: Own your assigned tickets from start to finish, managing your time efficiently without constant micro-management.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Location: Must be based in the Greater Phoenix area with a reliable vehicle for local client dispatches.
• Operating Systems: Solid, practical experience troubleshooting both Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Cloud & Email Platforms: Clear familiarity with setting up user accounts, resetting passwords, and fixing sync issues in Office 365, Google Workspace, and GoDaddy Workspace .
• Soft Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to remain patient and professional with small business owners and their employees.

Work Style: Proven ability to work independently under a flexible, hourly contract structure.
