Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Labor and Delivery \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: 09/22/2026 \n Duration: 12 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, nights \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n TRAVEL RN OPPORTUNITY – LABOR & DELIVERY \n UT Health Tyler Hospital – Tyler, TX \n Position: Labor & Delivery RN Contract: 13 Weeks Openings: 2 Shift: 3×12 Nights Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Charting: Epic Patient Ratio: Labor 1:2 | Antepartum 1:3 | Mother/Baby 1:3 \n REQUIREMENTS \n \n \n 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience \n \n First-time travelers are NOT accepted \n \n Previous travel nursing experience required \n \n Epic experience required \n \n BLS, ACLS, NRP \n \n AWHONN Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced certifications \n \n Previous charge experience preferred \n \n Teaching hospital experience preferred \n \n Level I Trauma experience preferred \n CLINICAL EXPERIENCE\n Experience with: \n \n \n Labor and delivery management \n \n High-risk deliveries \n \n Vaginal deliveries \n \n C-section recovery and circulating \n \n Hemorrhage/shock management \n \n Amnioinfusion \n \n Fetal monitoring and abnormal fetal heart rate patterns \n \n Internal and external fetal monitoring \n \n IUPC placement and calibration \n \n Sterile vaginal examinations \n \n OB triage \n \n Antepartum and high-risk antepartum care \n \n Magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, terbutaline and prostaglandins \n \n Epidural and pain management \n \n Postpartum hemorrhage \n \n Cesarean and postpartum care \n \n Mother/Baby and couplet care \n \n Newborn assessment and stabilization \n \n APGAR scoring \n \n Newborn hypoglycemia and phototherapy \n \n Breastfeeding/lactation support \n \n Neonatal care in the delivery room \n UNIT DETAILS\n \n \n Unit: Labor & Delivery / LDRP \n \n Beds: 15 \n \n Rooms: 14 \n \n Daily Census: Approximately 14 \n \n Patient Population: Neonates and adults \n \n Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend \n \n Weekend Requirement: 6 weekends per contract \n \n Pre-approved RTO: 1 request \n \n Orientation: 24 hours \n \n Float: Not required \n \n Call: Not required \n \n \n \n HonorVet Technologies Job ID 32901063.
