We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join a growing team in Houston, Texas within the energy and natural resources sector. This contract position with the potential to become permanent is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical sales environment and can translate customer requirements into accurate, competitive quotations. The role focuses on supporting customers with electric actuation and flow control product inquiries while building strong account relationships and helping drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed quotations and sales proposals for customers seeking electric actuation and flow control solutions, ensuring accuracy in pricing, specifications, and delivery details.
• Respond to requests for quotation and proposal inquiries by reviewing technical requirements and coordinating with vendors, internal partners, and customers to develop complete commercial responses.
• Manage day-to-day inside sales activity for assigned accounts, including quote follow-up, order support, pricing communication, and customer service coordination.
• Build and strengthen customer relationships by providing timely updates, resolving quote-related questions, and delivering a high level of responsiveness throughout the sales cycle.
• Support revenue growth by identifying upselling opportunities, encouraging repeat business, and helping expand sales within existing customer accounts.
• Work with technical and engineering-focused stakeholders to align product recommendations with application needs and commercial expectations.
• Maintain accurate sales records, quote activity, account details, and transaction information within AX and related sales systems.
• Partner with vendors and internal teams to gather lead times, product availability, and cost information needed to prepare competitive offers.• Experience in inside sales, quotations, or customer-facing sales support within a technical, industrial, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with electric actuation, flow control products, or comparable engineered equipment is strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and prepare accurate pricing, vendor quote comparisons, and formal sales proposals.
• Strong understanding of request for quotation processes, customer pricing practices, and sales operations workflows.
• Proven ability to manage multiple customer accounts and sales activities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and relationship management.
• Experience using ERP or sales systems such as AX to document quotes, transactions, and account activity.
• Commercially minded approach with the ability to support sales growth, maximize opportunities, and contribute to annual sales objectives.
