Experienced/Certified Service Technician

Job TitleBob Valenti Auto Group is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join their team in Mystic, CT.ResponsibilitiesPerform thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and provide accurate estimates for repairsExecute repairs following manufacturer guidelines and ensuring high-quality workmanshipCommunicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and answer any questionsMaintain a clean and organized workspacePerform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and proceduresTest-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services neededProvide an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecuting repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsRequirementsValid certification as a Service TechnicianPrevious experience working in a similar roleStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skillsExcellent customer service abilitiesQualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine RepairBroad knowledge of new vehicle technologiesAmbitious, hardworking presence in a team environmentExcellent customer service skillsBasic computer skillsPositive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentalityEnjoy working in a dynamic environmentAbility to collaborate effectivelyAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsAble to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentMinimum high school diploma or GED equivalent requiredValid driver's license and clean driving recordBenefitsCompetitive compensationHealth insurance packagePaid time offCareer development opportunities401(k) plansEmployee eventsOpportunities for advancementAbout the CompanyBob Valenti Auto Group is a well-established automotive company located in Mystic, CT.
