Now Hiring: Main Shop Automotive Technician – Bob Bell Chevrolet, Bel Air, MD Are you an experienced automotive technician looking to grow your career in a professional, high-volume shop? Bob Bell Chevrolet in Bel Air is seeking a Main Shop Technician with strong skills in transmission repair and electric vehicles (EVs) . What You’ll Do: Perform quality vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards Specialize in transmission and EV system repairs (preferred) Accurately complete repair orders with efficiency and attention to detail Test components and systems using advanced diagnostic tools Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding additional work needed and time estimates Execute manufacturer warranty repairs to specification Test-drive vehicles before and after service as needed Qualifications: 2+ years of technician experience required Transmission and/or EV experience preferred Maryland State Inspection License a plus GM-certified technicians encouraged to apply Solid skills in diagnostics, engine, electrical, and mechanical repair (B-level or higher) High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license with a clean record Strong communication and customer service mindset Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude Ability to learn new technology and operate electronic diagnostic tools Technician-Specific Benefits: Air-conditioned, OSHA-certified shop State-of-the-art tools and diagnostic equipment Competitive flat rate pay based on experience Paid training and continuous education (GM, ASE, web-based, and hands-on) Certification reimbursement (ASE & MD State Inspection) Career growth opportunities – we promote from within!
