Job Description Contracts Administrator (Job Number: 26000647) – Research and Innovation Services, Open-Ended/Permanent, Full Time. Closing Date: 15-Jun-2026. Role Summary Provide professional administrative support for contracts management and processing within the Contracting section of Research Operations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Collect, organise and record data accurately and produce required reports. Resolve routine issues, provide information and updates, and maintain documentation of standard operating procedures. Assist with preparing and sending documents, drafting reports, taking minutes for meetings, working groups and committees. Deliver timely and high‑quality service to students, colleagues and external stakeholders. Work collaboratively: resolve queries, respond to requests for information, bring complex issues to senior team members, organise administrative services, and adapt services based on feedback. Ensure compliance with data protection and other relevant professional and regulatory standards. Perform any other reasonable duties as required. Qualifications and Experience Five GCSEs (Grade C or level four) including English Language and Mathematics, or equivalent. Post‑16 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent experience. Experience delivering front‑line administrative services in a busy office environment. Experience with contracts and procurement administrative work. Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and work under pressure. Experience working effectively within a team. Good spoken and written communication skills. Digital literacy: use of Microsoft 365, email, internet, digital communication tools and booking systems. Commitment to professional development and continuous learning. Problem‑solving skills and ability to provide advice and guidance to colleagues and customers. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Digital proficiency and experience with office-based devices and applications. Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. Ability to apply professional and regulatory standards such as data protection. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
