Your role as an Intern in the Global Operations Business Unit, will help us make the connections that move the world forward by: Support the Manufacturing Engineering team in improving manufacturing processes using structured problem-solving skills. Support Operations in resolving production issues and implementing permanent solutions. Be in a dynamic role where you will improve yields, assist with quality controls, and improve process capability. Responsibilities At TE Connectivity, you’ll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role you’ll: Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments. Learn lab procedures for maintaining process chemistries. Work with department mechanical and electrical engineers for process improvements. Assist in planning, organization, and conducting all aspects of technical studies. Provide engineering support for other departments as needed. Works on special administrative projects as directed and prioritized by manager such as data entry, data analysis, filing, organizing, and maintaining files. Prepare and complete a presentation to the department and for personal portfolio at the end of the internship showing project status and achievements You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you: Have earned a high school diploma or GED Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA/BS Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered). Our internship program typically runs May thru August and gives students the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the success of their team and build on their classroom experience. Throughout the 10–12-week program, interns will be provided with: Timeline TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May.
