Electrician

Electrician Location: Montgomery, AL / Tuskegee, AL Pay Rate: $24.20/hour We are hiring skilled Electricians for a full‑time assignment supporting hospital and campus maintenance operations. This position requires work across the Central Alabama VA campuses as needed and includes routine and emergency electrical support. Responsibilities Install new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, controls, and equipment. Maintain secondary power distribution lines and circuits across a range of voltages. Provide maintenance for industrial multiphase systems, fire alarm systems, intrusion alarms, thermocouple sensors, and related infrastructure. Troubleshoot hard‑to‑locate electrical defects tied to repairs and installations. Use testing and measuring equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, wattmeters, meggers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of documented electrician experience required. Strong knowledge of trade formulas, circuits, power calculations, voltage drop, and current capability. Must be able to work safely in heat, noise, confined spaces, and elevated environments.
