The British Swim School is growing! We’re looking for a dependable, energetic Aquatics Manager to help lead the next stage of our growth across our three West Metro locations in Richfield, Eden Prairie and Minnetonka .

You’ll lead and develop our swim instructor team while playing a key role in building a strong, consistent aquatics program as we continue to grow.

This is a hands-on, part-time leadership position . You’ll teach regularly, spend dedicated time on the pool deck coaching and supporting instructors, talk with families, and maintain our teaching and safety standards.

You’ll also take ownership of instructor scheduling and coverage. When last-minute absences happen, you’ll work to find coverage and must be prepared to step in and teach yourself when necessary. Keeping our lessons running reliably is a core responsibility of the Aquatics Manager.

What you’ll do

• Lead, coach and support our swim instructors
• Teach swim lessons and step into classes when needed
• Create and manage instructor schedules
• Train and onboard new instructors in the British Swim School curriculum
• Observe lessons and provide regular coaching and feedback
• Maintain high standards for safety, lesson quality and customer experience
• Help recruit and interview new instructors
• Communicate with parents and resolve concerns professionally
• Track required instructor certifications and training
• Document and respond appropriately to pool, customer and employee incidents
• Work closely with the franchise owner to improve the overall aquatics program

Who we’re looking for

You don’t necessarily need years of aquatics-management experience. We’re more interested in finding someone who is reliable, calm under pressure, organized, confident leading people and comfortable holding a team to high standards .

Previous experience in swimming, coaching, teaching, aquatics, fitness, childcare or team leadership would be a strong advantage. The original job description similarly treats aquatics experience as preferred rather than mandatory.

CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard certifications are preferred but may be obtained during training.

Schedule & Compensation

This is a part-time position of approximately 15–20 hours per week , primarily during our afternoon/evening and weekend swim programs.
