Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring all products and materials are loaded, unloaded, and processed through the warehouse in a timely and accurate manner using a motor-powered forklift. Team members will be fully re-trained and certified on forklift during orientation.

Qualifications

• Six months forklift experience listed on application or resume within the last 12 months. Twelve months warehousing experience listed within the last 18 months.
• Cold storage preferred.
• Need full range of motion of arms, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck, all digits, and legs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with a sense of balance.
• May work with corrective lenses if vision problems.
• May be provided PPE for additional hearing protection as needed. Cold Storage Experience Preferred.
• Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• During your work shift, which will consist of (12) hours, you must be willing to move around the work area at a fast pace and willing to bend, squat, lift, push, pull, up to (40) pounds.
• As part of efficiently completing job tasks, a handheld scanner will be used to track products as it is loaded, unloaded, and moved around the facility.
• At certain times, other job duties may be part of the routine.
• Follow all Tyson Policies and Safety Guidelines.
• Sub Duties (May be required to work any or all of these positions)
• Receiver – Receives product accurately into the building using PIT.
• Put Away – Pulls product that has been received and puts it into the racking. May be required to palletize or split pallets.
• Replenisher – Pulls pallets from racking to replenish pick faces.
• Picker – (Case picker/Order Selector and full pallet picker) pulls product either in single or full palletized form to fill and build customer orders.
• Loader – Loads trucks with product in an efficient manner that will avoid product damage or loss.

Environment

• Most of the time will be driving PIT including stand-up forklifts and reach trucks for extended times in damp and cold environments with temperatures ranging from -5 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit. (Up to 12 hours)
• You will be provided a freezer suit, hearing protection, gloves, and headwear as part of your personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Team members will furnish their own boots and must wear either steel or composite toe boots that conform to ANSI 75lbs or more PSI rating with a slip resistant sole that covers the ankles. (Composite toe preferred)
• Team members will be driving stand-up Crown PIT Forklifts and Reach Trucks. May be trained on Cherry picker for additional tasks.
• Standing or walking up to 100% of the time

B Shift* Sunday - Tuesday 18:00-06:00, Wednesday 18:00-00:00

C Shift Wednesday 12:00-18:00, Thursday - Saturday 06:00-18:00

D Shift* Wednesday 00:00-06:00, Thursday - Saturday 18:00-06:00

E Shift** Friday – Sunday 06:00-18:00

F Shift** Friday – Sunday 18:00-06:00

G Shift Monday – Thursday 06:00-16:45 (10 Hours)

H Shift* Monday – Thursday 18:00-04:45 (10 Hours)

*B, D, F, and H Shift are eligible for $0.50/hr night shift incentive

**E and F Shift are eligible for $2/hr weekend shift incentive
