As part of Tailwind, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional food and service for events, creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. In this role, you will oversee all catering operations, ensuring high-quality food and service delivery for events ranging from corporate meetings to social gatherings. You'll collaborate with clients to determine their event requirements, manage a dedicated catering staff, and plan diverse menus in close coordination with chefs. Your main goal will be to maintain budgetary oversight, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and foster a culture of excellence, making every event a memorable one. Veterans and Military family members are encouraged to apply!Key Responsibilities:Coordinate with clients to understand event requirements and preferencePlan and execute catering services for various eventsDevelop and customize menus in collaboration with chefsHire, train, and manage catering staffSchedule staff and assign duties for eventsMonitor budgets and control costs to ensure profitabilityMaintain high standards of food quality and presentationEnsure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulationsManage inventory and order supplies as neededCoordinate with vendors and external service providersHandle on-site problem solving during eventsPromote catering services and build client relationshipsQualifications/Skills:Ability to plan and manage budgetsStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesProblem-solving and decision-making capabilitiesProficiency in event planning and coordinationAttention to detail and ability to multitask under pressureAbility to read and process complex information quickly and accuratelyExceptional problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work a minimum of 40 hours per weekWork some weekends, evenings, and holidaysRequirements:Must be able to pass a TSA background check to receive an airport badgeMust have reliable transportation and the ability to be punctualBenefits:PTO401KPaid trainingEmployee discountHealth, Dental and Vision offered to Full time employeesOur Mission & PhilosophyTailwind brings warm hospitality to its restaurants with comfortable designs offering a variety of seating options and menus – featuring breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
