About the Position

Job Title: Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician Profession: Medical Laboratory Specialty: Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Must have graduated from an approved program Certifications: Proficiency in phlebotomy and Blood Bank testing required Must-Have: Microbiology experience preferred. Experience with gram stains, planting cultures, and blood cultures is essential. Ability to work independently and communicate proficiently. Familiarity with Covid regulations including PPE and isolation protocols is required. Must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively. Description: We are seeking qualified Medical Technologists or Medical Laboratory Technicians for a 13-week assignment. Shifts will consist of three 12-hour days from 6 AM to 6:30 PM following the first week of training. There will be a rotation of weekend shifts, typically every fifth weekend, and no call duty. Occasional opportunities to fill in for Thursday night shifts and pick up vacancies may be available. The candidate must be willing to work holidays on a rotating basis. Candidates should be proficient in microbiology and phlebotomy, as well as blood bank testing. The ability to work alone and effectively communicate is crucial. Applicants must be able to adhere to Covid regulations and demonstrate multitasking and prioritization skills. Please note that shifts may be canceled up to three times within a 12-week period.
