Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neuro Medicine ICU Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12 hours Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of ICU acute care experience License: RN License (New York) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS Must-Have: - Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills - Ability to remain current in knowledge of critical care - Telemetry experience required Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Neuro Medicine Intensive Care Unit. The primary focus is the critically ill Neuro patient requiring specialized nursing and medical care. Common patient diagnoses include traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies. The unit is a new, state-of-the-art 12 bed ICU. Candidates must possess the required RN license and certifications. This role requires two years of experience in an ICU acute care setting. Candidates should demonstrate robust critical thinking and organizational abilities. Telemetry experience is essential for success in this position.
