Practice Setting and Clinical Scope

As part of a dedicated oncology team, you'll work predominantly in an outpatient setting with some inpatient responsibilities. The practice is committed to treating a diverse patient population, focusing on adult and geriatric patients. You will have the opportunity to participate in tumor boards and manage complex cases including bone marrow transplants and chemotherapy administration, supported by nurse oncologists. This collaborative environment ensures comprehensive care, leveraging the skills of both physicians and advanced practice providers.

Schedule and Assignment Details

The assignment requires a commitment of four weeks of availability each month, with at least four days per week, for an initial six-month period. The role does not require call duties during the locum period, but call is expected for permanent placement, scheduled one week every six to eight weeks. The average outpatient volume is 25 patients per day, with hospital rounding involving approximately 20 patients daily.

The facility uses the EPIC EMR system, ensuring efficient documentation and patient management. Qualifications

• Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
• Active South Carolina medical license or eligibility through IMLC
• Current BLS and DEA certifications
• Clean background required for emergency credentialing
