D.C. United Ticket Sales & Service Intern

The D.C. United Ticket Sales & Service team is looking for talented undergraduate or graduate students aspiring to enter the sports industry to join us as interns for the spring semester of 2027. D.C. United Ticket Sales & Service Interns will be introduced to the sales world with the goal of helping you launch your sales career within the sales industry, while helping fulfill an internship requisite. As a Ticket Sales & Service Intern, you will establish an understanding of the sales process, be introduced to the sales industry, be part of an intern cohort that will work on interdepartmental projects and gain real-life sales experience! Tuesday to Thursday will be in person at the D.C. United offices located at Audi Field. All other days, excluding any match or event days, will be optional/virtual. The ability to work at least 25 hours per week in the office, work D.C. United home matches, additional opportunities provided through DC Power FC home matches and D.C. United grassroot marketing events is a requirement to be considered for the position.

Must be an active college student and receive college course credit for the internship. This is an unpaid internship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

(including but not limited to the following):

• Actively selling all D.C. United ticket products
• Attend onboarding/offboarding sessions
• Assist Account Executives and Ticket Sales Managers and Directors with the creation of unique sales campaigns
• Participate in sales training and make sales calls to prospective buyers
• Administrative duties including data entry, research, and lead generation
• Matchday responsibilities such as sales table set up, running fan experience programs, prospect meetings and supporting prospecting events
• Must be available to be onsite during the 2027 Spring Semester: Approx. Late January 2027 Late April 2027
• Willingness to work grassroots marketing events offsite
• Represent D.C. United & DC Power FC in a positive image
• Participate in D.C. United Internship Cohort
• Other Duties as assigned

• Coachable, hardworking, multi-tasking, and positive attitude
• Ability to effectively interact with staff and clients
• Ability to work flexible schedule inclusive of evenings and weekends
• Must be an active college student and receive college course credit for the internship
• Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Proficient in Spanish is a plus, but not required

The selected candidate must pass a background check.
