Job Overview Positive Plasma is a blood plasma donation facility seeking an experienced LPN/Paramedic to join our growing team as we expand. Availability: Monday – Friday and every other Saturday (3 on, 4 off). 5 weeks paid training Monday – Friday. Competitive pay plus a $3,000 sign‑on bonus. Job Type Full‑time. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform spot checks and physical examinations, taking medical histories on all donors in accordance with FDA‑approved SOPs and state/federal guidelines. Review and confirm donor suitability by interpreting SPE and RPR results and completing donor record files. Manage donor counseling, testing, and follow‑up for employee exposures. Provide confidential counseling to donors who are not eligible. Administer care for unusual or moderate to severe donor reactions. Assist with employee training as needed. Consult with the Medical/Laboratory Director as required. Support other areas (vitals, registration, lab processing, phlebotomy when applicable) and report unsafe conditions. Travel up to 25 miles to other facilities for training or staffing support. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Current LPN or Paramedic license in good standing for the state of application. Current CPR and BLS certification. High‑school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree acceptable (documentation required). Required Skills and Abilities Read and write in English. Phlebotomy experience a plus. Basic proficiency in computer operations (Microsoft Word). Legible handwriting. Customer‑service skills. Punctual, reliable, and reliable transportation. Physical Requirements Read computer screens and procedural manuals. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Hear alarms and mechanical devices. Work confidently during frequent quality inspections. Operate in walk‑in/subzero freezers. Lift, pull, or move up to 50 pounds. Use hands and fingers for handling instruments. Maintain close vision. Stand, walk, climb, balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch. Operate donor‑floor equipment with repetitive motion. Read while standing or sitting at a computer for short periods. Wear required PPE (eyewear, lab coats, gloves). Equipment Operated Computer (typing, mouse, saving information).
