Your primary focus will be the evaluation and design of projects involving electrical distribution and transmission systems & facilities, natural gas pipelines & facilities, landfills, mining and quarry facilities, earthen dams, water resources, and renewables.Conceptual Design & Engineering Analysis: Leading the development of conceptual designs and conducting rigorous engineering analysis of design alternatives. Technical Documentation & Cost Estimating: Overseeing the preparation of detailed drawings, specifications, calculations, and construction cost estimates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Project Management & Coordination: Managing all aspects of project execution, including schedule and budget management, risk assessment, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Proposals, Reporting & Client Communication: Taking charge of proposal and report preparation, providing clear and concise communication to clients and stakeholders regarding project progress and milestones. Mentorship & Team Development: Mentoring and guiding junior staff members, sharing your expertise, and fostering their professional growth within the field of civil engineering.About you:You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related fieldYou have a minimum of 4 years of experience in civil engineering design projectsYou have a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtainYou have a solid working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil3D, and stormwater modeling programsYou Are Willing and Able to:Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially long periods of timeRoutinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)Working outside of normal business hours when necessaryGrow With Us:At S&ME, your career growth matters.
