Technical Sales Representative

Mid American Signal is an established Traffic Systems Distributor in the Central United States, specializing in Traffic Signal Systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Connected Vehicle Systems & Roadway Lighting Systems. We are currently planning to expand our team by seeking to employ a full-time, skilled Traffic Systems Technical Sales Representative based in the Milwaukee/Madison WI metro area. Qualified candidates shall meet the following requirements as a minimum: Assist customers in solving basic to complex traffic control system issues Ability to work productively and collaboratively in a remote office environment Assist with trouble calls, system commissioning, and customer training Valid driver's license - must meet insurance underwriting requirements Preferred candidates should be able to meet the following: 3 years experience - Sales, marketing & account management in a Traffic Signal and/or Intelligent Transportation Systems or related field; Tier One technical support and understanding of traffic signal control systems International Municipal Signal Association – Traffic Signal Technician Level II certification or ability to obtain same within two years of employment, or other verifiable experience Must have the flexibility to travel (average 40% of time, as high as 70% of time) to customer locations within assigned region Travel to our Kansas City, KS headquarters is also occasionally required for training Professionalism, customer service skills, and effective communication skills Ability read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and civil traffic engineering plans Ability to understand and set up software, networking, and programmable logic circuits Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and Microsoft Office suite Schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends for travel Company Benefits include: * PTO * Some Paid Holidays * Insurance (Group Health and Dental) * 401K Retirement Plan Salary: Competitive pay with production bonus incentives Job Type: Full-time Education: High school diploma or equivalent certificate (Required), 2-year college or college/technical college degree preferred Flexible work from home options available.
