Psychiatrist General Adult Inpatient

Overview Job Summary and Responsibilities: As our Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist you will join our Psychiatric Associates team providing inpatient care at Lasting Hope Recovery Center in Omaha, Nebraska. You will work with a team of psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to care for our patients. Responsibilities In this role you will provide in-person care within our 64-bed facility. This full-time position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, supplemented by a reasonable one-weekend-per-month call rotation. Core duties include conducting daily patient rounds, developing comprehensive treatment plans, managing admissions, discharges, and consultations, performing medication management, and conducting thorough psychiatric assessments. You will also provide clinical supervision and instruction for psychiatry residents and fellows on occasion. You will be supported by a leadership team committed to professional growth and longevity, offering a stable and rewarding environment for a psychiatrist to thrive. Success in this role is measured by clinical effectiveness, patient outcomes, and contributions to the unit. This includes stabilizing acute psychiatric symptoms, facilitating safe and timely discharges with appropriate aftercare plans, and achieving high levels of patient and family satisfaction while adhering to best practices and ethical guidelines. Psychiatrists contribute to a positive team environment, mentor trainees, and engage in quality improvement initiatives within the facility. Faculty appointment from Creighton University School of Medicine Job Requirements Required Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology - General Adult Psychiatry Active or eligible to obtain an unrestricted license in Iowa DEA in good standing with no restrictions BLS A record of excellence in clinical care and education Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care Where You'll Work Lasting Hope Recovery Center, a 64-bed facility with private adult patient rooms 24-hour Assessment Center for Psychiatric Crisis Assessment and Triage Unique Public-Private Partnership for Sustainable Care Lasting Hope Recovery Center offers a comprehensive service line providing services across Nebraska and southwest Iowa, including inpatient, outpatient, partial, residential, and integrated primary care. The center treats patients who experience both mental illness and substance abuse. Evidence-based practices include Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) and Peer Support Specialists as part of the treatment model.
