Job Details

The Senior Full Stack PHP Developer will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and modernizing mission-critical web systems built on both legacy and modern PHP frameworks. This hands-on role combines coding, architecture, and mentorship - helping bridge existing applications with next-generation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in the design, development, and deployment of software enhancements and new modules.
• Maintain and upgrade legacy PHP (5.6) systems, progressively modernizing codebases to PHP 8+ standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA, DevOps) in an Agile environment.
• Refactor and optimize code, database schemas, and queries for scalability and maintainability.
• Build and extend REST and SOAP APIs for integrations across platforms.
• Participate in code reviews, technical architecture sessions, and sprint planning.
• Provide mentorship and enforce clean coding and architectural standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across backend and frontend layers.
• Ensure all development aligns with internal security and compliance policies.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of PHP/MySQL development experience.
• Strong experience with legacy PHP (5.6) and modern frameworks (Laravel or similar).
• Proven experience leading modernization and migration projects.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and architectural design.
• Skilled in JavaScript (including jQuery), HTML, and CSS for frontend integration.
• Experience with API development (REST, SOAP, XML) and third-party integrations.
• Proficient with Git version control and Agile/Scrum workflows.
• Excellent communication and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with NGINX, MariaDB + Galera Cluster, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis, Couchbase, and Zookeeper.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and caching or messaging systems.
• Hands-on experience in performance tuning and system optimization.
