Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
The OR RN will provide bedside care in a high-volume operating room setting, supporting various surgical disciplines with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence. The role involves working 4x10s shifts, with on-call and weekend responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-operative patient assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Assist anesthesia and surgeons during operative procedures, maintaining sterile technique and ensuring patient safety.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative changes promptly.
• Document surgical interventions accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Participate in post-operative patient care, ensuring smooth recovery and appropriate handoff.
• Comply with all safety protocols, including radiation badge requirements, and adhere to trauma level standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of recent experience in an acute care operating room environment.
• Hold a current South Carolina or multi-state compact RN license.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and able to provide radiation badge documentation.
• Demonstrate competency across general, neuro, ortho, ENT, and GYN surgeries.
• Be willing to work 4x10-hour day shifts, including on-call and weekend shifts.
• Have recent trauma center experience preferred.
