Waltham, MA Mon -Fri 8:30am-5:00pm 3 Months Contract

The right candidate will be willing to do external walking mail runs on campus as well as help with any aspects of the operation. The manager is looking for someone that can work in a high-volume mailroom and be able to be on their feet for long periods of time. Mailroom experience a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Sort, distribute, and deliver incoming and outgoing mail and packages across campus.
• Perform external walking mail routes between university buildings.
• Handle shipping and receiving using USPS, FedEx, Client, and other carriers.
• Operate mailroom equipment, postage meters, high-volume copiers, scanners, and document imaging systems.
• Perform printing, copying, scanning, document imaging, binding, finishing, and filing tasks.
• Maintain copier areas by restocking paper, replacing toner, clearing paper jams, and reporting equipment issues.
• Respond to customer requests, answer questions regarding job status, and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain mailroom records, service logs, inventory, and billing information.
• Deliver completed print jobs and office supplies to designated locations.
• Assist with conference room setups, light building support, and other office service duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of mailroom, office services, shipping & receiving, print/copy, or related experience.
• Experience working in a high-volume environment preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday.
• Comfortable walking between multiple campus buildings.
• Ability to lift up to 50–55 lbs and push/pull mail carts or equipment.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
