Job Description and Duties

The District Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of all Greenwood Center operations, ensuring effective personnel management, fiscal accountability, and program excellence. This includes supervising staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work culture, and supporting Corpsmember development through structured training, education, and career readiness initiatives. The role involves managing budgets, overseeing conservation and emergency response projects, and ensuring compliance with administrative, procurement, and policy requirements. The Director also represents the CCC in community and interagency partnerships, promotes equity and inclusion across all operations, and contributes to policy development and continuous improvement efforts aligned with the CCC’s mission and values.

Leadership and Supervisory Experience

Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams, including experience with performance management, staff development, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Program and Operational Management

Proven experience overseeing complex programs or facilities, including responsibility for budgeting, procurement, facilities, culinary program, fleet, and administrative operations in compliance with state or organizational policies.

Youth or Workforce Development Expertise

Experience working with young adults or similar populations in educational, workforce, or residential programs, with a focus on personal growth, career readiness, and supportive services.

Project and Field Operations Oversight

Knowledge of conservation, restoration, or emergency response project planning and execution, including sponsor relations, safety standards, and quality control.

Fiscal and Contract Management

Strong understanding of public sector budgeting, fiscal oversight, and contract administration, with a commitment to transparency and accountability.

Community Engagement and Public Representation

Experience building partnerships with community organizations, tribal governments, and public agencies, and representing an organization in public forums or media.

Policy Implementation and Compliance

Familiarity with state policies, labor laws, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to interpret and apply policies effectively and recommend improvements.
