Outside Sales - 47

This position is responsible for promoting and selling industrial, medical, and specialty gases. The candidate must also be able to sell a complete line of welding, industrial and safety hard goods. Outside sales representatives should utilize all sales and marketing tools available to expand sales at existing customer accounts and develop relationships with new customers. Representatives are responsible for identifying customers specific needs and recommending the best total solutions for that customer. In addition to growing existing accounts and bringing new customers into the Gas and Supply group, sales representatives support accounts receivable collection efforts.Education Requirement:High School DiplomaPreferred: Bachelor's Degree or Two Year Technical DegreeLicense(s) Required:Valid Drivers LicenseRelevant Work Experience:Outside sales experience with industrial or welding supply distributorship preferred.Work Hours: Full time, typically Monday-Friday, 8 hours a day, 5 days a weekMust pass drug test and background check.Other Job Specifications:Knowledge of personal computers associated business software (Microsoft Word and Excel preferred)Knowledge of welding equipment, tools, safety supplies and equipment and industrial equipment.Ability to create customer quotes and process customer ordersAbility to create maintain solid, long-term business relationships with customersEfficiency in problem solving and an effective communicatorStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work quickly and accurately against deadlinesAbility to work as a team with local-workers as well as team members from other regionsJob Functions and Duties:Scheduling appointments and visiting existing customers to review product needs and determining other opportunities.Providing product quotes as requiredOrganizing and attending joint sales calls with Vendors.Opening new accounts.Continuously updating customers on product changes and modificationsProviding solutions to customers problemsAttending Trade Shows and Conferences (if applicable)Liaising between customers and the company for up-to-date status of service, pricing and new product release launchesPreparing reports for marketing and sales and keeping expense accountsKeeping up to date on new products, services, procedures and tools by attending additional training and departmental meetings.Other duties as assigned by Sales Manager and/or local Branch ManagerNecessary Equipment & Instruments: Basic office equipment which includes: telephone, computer, possibly desk printerEnvironment: The associate usually works in an office environment with no extreme temperatures, or exposure to other adverse conditions.Physical Demands: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an outside sales representative to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
