Senior Tool and Die Maker – Must-Have Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of tool and die experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience building, repairing, and maintaining progressive and transfer dies
• Skilled in troubleshooting die issues and reducing production downtime
• Proficiency with manual and CNC machining equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision work
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Senior Tool and Die Maker – Position Summary

The Senior Tool and Die Maker is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and repairing production dies used in high-volume manufacturing. This role ensures tooling operates efficiently, accurately, and safely while supporting continuous production flow. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and pride in precision craftsmanship.

Senior Tool and Die Maker – Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Build new dies based on engineering specifications
• Maintain, repair, and rebuild progressive and transfer dies
• Diagnose and resolve die performance issues quickly and effectively
• Perform die modifications to improve production efficiency and quality
• Operate manual machines and CNC equipment as needed
• Interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve tooling performance
• Maintain organized, safe, and compliant tool room environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives

Senior Tool and Die Maker – Additional Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced machining knowledge
• Experience working in a high-precision manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot complex tooling and production issues
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated with a focus on quality and efficiency
