Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Perimeter Patrol Driver in Clinton, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a controlled environment. You will interact professionally with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to security-related concerns. A valid driver’s license is required. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue05:45 PM - 06:00 AMWed05:45 PM - 06:00 AMSat05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out armed security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeters, access points, and parking areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain awareness of inmate movement, visitor activity, and facility operations in accordance with post orders. Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and coordinating with appropriate personnel and emergency responders. Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and/or security‑related activities. Minimum Requirements: A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
