Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, alleviating pain, and restoring function in accordance with each client's specific needs.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring effective execution of treatment plans and adherence to best practices.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities using diagnostic tests to assess muscle, nerve, and joint functions.
• Analyze clients' home environments, providing recommendations to enhance their independence during rehabilitation processes.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions including manual exercises, traction, and applications of physical agents, adapting techniques based on client progress.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop, evaluate, and modify care plans based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in case conferences and interdisciplinary meetings to evaluate client treatment effectiveness and adjust strategies as necessary.
• Educate clients and their families about their physical therapy programs and the proper use of assistive devices.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay abreast of current therapy practices and enhance skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will focus on a diverse patient population requiring physical rehabilitation, ranging from individuals recovering from surgery to those managing chronic conditions. As a Physical Therapist at Rothman Therapeutics, you will work closely with clients of various backgrounds and needs, tailoring interventions to empower each individual and facilitate their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey with a clean legal record and no history of sanctions.
• Strong proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.
• Experienced in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, preferably Web PT, for accurate documentation.
• In-depth knowledge of contemporary physical therapy practices supported by ongoing research.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a rehabilitation setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated excellence in crafting tailored therapy programs that achieve significant patient outcomes.
• Prior experience in educating staff and clients on effective therapeutic practices.
• Ability to display leadership qualities and mentor junior staff effectively.
