The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAA Four Diamond resorts, is seeking a Valet Supervisor to join our Guest Services Team at $18 hourly + tips. All employees receive perks of $50 rooms at any of our properties, and discount rates at our spa, restaurant, and retail.

Principal Responsibilities and Position Purpose:

The Valet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily valet and shuttle operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient team performance, and safe, organized transportation services. This position works closely with the Director of Front Office and assists in coordinating staffing, shuttle operations, and communication between departments.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support the valet and bellman team to ensure efficient daily operations and excellent guest service.

• Assist with team scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing levels for valet and bellman operations.

• Assist with shuttle coverage for scheduled hotel shuttle loops and airport transportation when necessary to maintain adequate service and coverage.

• Communicate schedule changes, transportation needs, or operational concerns to the appropriate team members.

• Report on any staffing needs, operational concerns, guest issues, equipment needs, or other matters requiring attention to the Director of Front Office.

• Provide direction, training, and support to valet and bellman team members. Ensure uniform guidelines are adhered to and luxury standards are being followed.

• Help ensure team members follow established procedures, safety standards, and service expectations.

• Maintain clear communication with Front Office and other departments regarding valet and bellman operations.

• Share pertinent information from meetings with the valet and bellman team as needed.

• Assist with resolving day-to-day operational challenges and provide leadership support to the team.

• Promote a professional, welcoming, and guest-focused environment always.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Front Office.

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and over the phone, with Staff, Senior Management team members, and Ownership.

• Ability and willingness to adhere to all Averill Hospitality policies and ensure departmental personnel compliance.

• Able to operate manual transmission.

• Good driving record (no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years; no DUI, DWI, reckless driving, or suspended/revoked license.

Physical Requirements:

Walking, climbing stairs, Crouching/Bending/Stooping, Pushing/Pulling, Lifting/Carrying (20 lbs.) will be required for this role.

Qualification Standards:

Education:

• High School or High School equivalent is an asset

Experience/ Licenses or Certificates:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in hospitality industry as an asset.

• Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.

Schedule / Holidays/ PTO:

This position requires regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. The Valet Supervisor is expected to usually keep a 5-day-a-week schedule but adjust as needed according to business needs; for example, a 6-day week may be required during peak business periods. A work week of up to 50 hours per week can be expected. However, it can be more or less, depending on business needs. Working evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required. Holidays and PTO are in accordance with the AH Exempt Employee policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook. Typically, PTO will not be permitted during June 15 - September 15 and December 15 – January 5.

Notice:

Standing, bending, stooping, and lifting weights up to and including 50 lbs. may be required. The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business, and a hospitable service atmosphere must be always projected.
