Job Summary :

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Addictions Counselor to provide individual and group counseling services for adults struggling with substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will utilize evidence-based treatment approaches, develop individualized recovery plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support clients throughout their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities :

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for clients with substance use disorders.

Provide clinical counseling and mental health support.

Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to treat substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.

Develop individualized treatment plans and recovery goals in collaboration with clients.

Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.

Educate clients and their families on addiction, recovery, and relapse prevention.

Implement behavior management techniques to encourage healthy coping skills and positive behavioral changes.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.

Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Participate in crisis intervention and provide support during behavioral health emergencies as needed.
Qualifications :

Minimum 2 years of experience in addiction counseling or a related behavioral health setting.

Experience providing both individual and group therapy.

Strong knowledge of evidence-based counseling techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) .

Experience working with clients experiencing co-occurring mental health disorders, including PTSD and trauma-related conditions.

Familiarity with medical terminology related to behavioral health and addiction treatment.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
