Area Leader

Role Overview Valet Living is hiring a field‑based Area Leader to oversee nightly waste, recycling, and compost collection services across 20‑40 multifamily communities. The role involves managing 15‑40 part‑time Service Valets and ensuring smooth, safe, on‑time service delivery. Responsibilities Lead Your Team: Onboard and train Service Valets; conduct regular coaching, team meetings, and safety checks; manage schedules, approve timecards, and keep the team on budget; foster accountability, open communication, and continuous improvement. Keep Operations Running Smoothly: Respond to resident or property concerns; ensure uninterrupted service; visit properties to review quality, complete audits, and resolve issues; use the iValet dashboard to track performance and enforce timely service. Support Daily and Administrative Tasks: Assist with hiring and training new Valets; distribute supplies, PPE, and containers; monitor staffing levels and manage costs with the Operations Manager; oversee vehicle maintenance and safety standards; participate in special projects or service recovery efforts. Requirements High school diploma or GED (required). At least one‑year supervisory experience overseeing a team or crew in a hands‑on environment (preferred). Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle. Strong organizational, detail‑oriented, and time‑management skills. Tech‑savvy: proficient with Microsoft Office and new platforms. Data‑driven: ability to interpret reports and make decisions. Excellent verbal and written communication. Problem‑solving and adaptability under changing conditions. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, walk long distances, work outdoors, and tolerate odors. Company vehicle provided. Work Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 6:00 PM – 12:30 AM core hours with two flexible hours to complete the 8‑hour shift. 70% field‑based, 30% remote administrative.
