Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with an estimated 80 hours of overtime per year

Location: Santa Fe Indian Health Service, 1700 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico 87505

Key Responsibilities:

-Answer phone calls professionally and address patient queries.

-Provide excellent customer service and greet patients/visitors warmly.

-Check patients in for appointments, assist with scheduling, and update billing information.

-Act as a liaison between providers, patients, and visitors, facilitating communication.

-Assist doctors and nurses with medical exams, tests, and ordering supplies.

-Manage, scan, and refile medical records, ensuring completeness and compliance.

-Handle Release of Information (ROI) forms and ensure accurate record releases.

-Enter and monitor information requests in RPMS/ROI, maintaining accurate records.

-Conduct searches for lost records, perform quality audits, and prepare records for retirement.

-Ensure all tasks comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.

Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Proficiency with electronic health records systems, specifically RPMS/Vista Imaging.

Knowledge of medical record-keeping standards and HIPAA compliance.
