PHS Community Grant Coordinator/Dean of Students Pikeville Independent Pikeville High School - Pikeville, Kentucky Job Details Job ID: 5717566 Application Deadline: May 30, 2026 11:59 PM (Eastern Standard Time) Posted: May 15, 2026 4:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Job Description TITLE: PHS Community Grant Coordinator/Dean of Students REPORTS TO: School Principal JOB GOAL: To lead the execution of the Community Schools Grant within Pikeville High School, ensuring all conditions are met, and to relieve the principal and/or assistant principal of impediments that prevent them from promoting the educational well-being of each student. Performance Responsibilities Lead activities, professional development, and proactive systems with selected School Community Leaders. Assist the Program Director with budget reporting, communications, advisory meetings, and planning for long-term sustainability. Assist the principal in overall administration of the school. Act as principal in the absence of the regular principal. Assist in maintaining discipline throughout the student body and address special cases as necessary. Assist in the supervision of instruction. Supervise reporting and monitoring of student attendance; coordinate with the director of pupil personnel for investigative follow-up actions. Propose schedules of classes and extracurricular activities, and assist in preparation of student schedules. Work with department heads and faculty in compiling the annual budget. Handle requisitions, supplies, textbooks, equipment, conduct inventories, maintain records, and verify receipts for such material. Participate in safety inspections and safety drill activities. Coordinate transportation, custodial, cafeteria, and other support services. Collaborate with parents, faculty, and student groups to advance educational and related activities and objectives. Administer the student insurance program. Perform record-keeping functions as directed by the principal. Perform additional tasks and assume responsibilities assigned by the principal or superintendent from time to time. Education and Experience School Principal Certification. Master’s degree. Four years of teaching experience. Terms of Employment Salary commensurate with the Pikeville Independent Schools Certified Salary Schedule. 195-Day Position. Satisfactory completion of state-mandated health examination. Evaluation Performance evaluated annually by the Principal. Pikeville Independent Schools is an equal opportunity employer.
