Job Title Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Prosthetics & Orthotics Focus Location Near Peachtree City, GA. Employment Type Full Time About the Role We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with prosthetists, orthotists, and physical therapists, gaining hands-on experience in prosthetic and orthotic rehabilitation while delivering high-quality patient care. This role is ideal for a PTA interested in expanding their clinical expertise and developing a specialty in prosthetics and orthotics. Key Responsibilities Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and functional mobility interventions Support patients using prosthetic limbs and orthotic devices during rehabilitation and training Educate patients and caregivers on safe device use, mobility strategies, and home exercise programs Monitor patient progress and report findings to supervising Physical Therapists Collaborate with prosthetists and orthotists to support optimal device fit and function Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to treatment protocols Specialization & Growth Opportunities On-the-job training in prosthetic and orthotic rehabilitation Exposure to upper- and lower-limb prosthetics, custom orthoses, and adaptive equipment Opportunities to develop advanced skills in gait analysis and functional mobility Support for continuing education related to prosthetics, orthotics, and advanced rehabilitation techniques Qualifications Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current state PTA license or eligibility for licensure CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Interest in prosthetics, orthotics, and specialized rehabilitation care Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in outpatient orthopedics, neuro rehab, or amputee rehabilitation Familiarity with assistive devices and mobility training Commitment to ongoing professional development Benefits Continuing education support Mentorship from experienced PTs and P&O professionals Ability to become a Certified Prosthetic-Orthotic Assistant (COPA) Collaborative, patient-centered work environment Opportunities for career growth and specialization Competitive Compensation Package Excellent Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage 8 National Holidays 3 Floating Holidays PTO available immediately 401k Retirement Plan with Company Match Flexible Work Schedules Relocation Assistance How to Apply Email resume’s to View email address on click.appcast.io
