About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting License: Valid Nursing License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH preferred Must-Have: Cardiac self-rating of 3 or above. Basic dysrhythmia training preferred. Familiarity with EPIC charting system within the last 6 months. Ability to care for patients with mental health diagnoses. Description: This position involves providing care for patients in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting. The expected nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, with a chance for 1:6-7. The assigned unit will care for a diverse patient population, including those with altered mental status, CHF, stroke, and postoperative surgical patients. Nurses in this role will be responsible for administering medications, managing IVs, and monitoring patients for changes in condition. Teamwork and collaboration are essential as interdisciplinary support will be available. Weekend shifts are required, with 3 weekend shifts every 6 weeks. Missed shifts will count as unexcused under the attendance policy, and excessive absences may result in cancellation. No additional time off will be granted after initial submission, and no time off will be allowed during major holidays. Candidates must not have any prior employment at this facility, either as a traveler or a permanent employee.
