About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIH preferred. Must-Have: - Cardiac self-rating of 3 or above. - Basic dysrhythmia training preferred (self-rating 3 or above). Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a progressive care unit. The unit specializes in higher acuity medical-surgical patients. The nurse will work on night shifts with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4. Weekend shifts are required, with three weekend shifts within a six-week period. The nurse will manage diverse patient diagnoses and procedures, such as altered mental status, CHF, and stroke. Basic dysrhythmia skills and telemetric monitoring experience are essential. Self-assessment of skills and knowledge in dysrhythmias is required. Teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration is part of the job. The hospital has a zero-fault attendance policy; missed shifts can lead to warnings or cancellation. The nursing staff will be expected to float within scope to meet facility needs. Travelers should be prepared to adhere to all compliance and training requirements. This position does not allow for blocked scheduling. No additional time off will be granted after submission. Candidates must be familiar with the EPIC charting system. No background or license hits are allowed for submission.
