Job Title: Instructional Designer – Skills Transformation Program

Location: Remote (Preference for Massachusetts-based candidates)

Hourly Pay Range and Other Compensation: $65.00-$80.00/hr DOE

Employment Type: W2 Contract, Full-Time

Position Overview: This is an exciting opportunity to help build something from the ground up. Our client is launching a major enterprise-wide Skills Transformation initiative designed to better align workforce capabilities, talent development, and future business needs. As the Instructional Designer, you will play a critical role in translating new processes, tools, and ways of working into practical, engaging learning experiences that drive adoption and readiness across the organization. This is not a role where you'll inherit existing content libraries or established frameworks. You'll be creating learning solutions from scratch and partnering directly with project leadership to bring the vision to life. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-moving environments, embraces ambiguity, and enjoys building while the work is still taking shape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop instructor-led training, virtual learning, eLearning modules, job aids, toolkits, facilitator guides, and manager resources
• Translate complex business processes and transformation initiatives into clear, engaging learning content
• Conduct learning needs analyses and recommend effective training approaches
• Create scalable learning solutions that can be leveraged across multiple audiences and business functions
• Partner closely with project leadership and subject matter experts to gather requirements and validate content
• Support pilot sessions, feedback collection, and continuous improvement efforts
• Ensure learning materials align with adult learning principles and organizational change objectives
• Manage multiple deliverables and shifting priorities in a fast-paced project environment

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Instructional Design, Learning & Development, or Training Development experience
• Experience supporting enterprise transformation, HR transformation, digital transformation, or large-scale change initiatives
• Strong experience with Articulate Rise, Storyline, PowerPoint, and related learning technologies
• Ability to convert complex information into practical, user-friendly learning content
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proven ability to work independently with limited direction

Preferred Experience:

• Skills-based workforce initiatives
• Talent management or HR programs
• Organizational effectiveness initiatives
• Manufacturing, operations, or large enterprise environments
