Seven Healthcare are seeking a competent RN specializing in Med Surg for a travel assignment in Santa Fe, NM. The role is designed for a nurse who can practice independently, offering routine and complex care within Med/Surg departments. Candidates will operate under the guidance of Maya Sandoval and work with the EMR system EPIC.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Consistently meets expectations of applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, in accordance with practice level.
• Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitors for side-effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS Certification via AHA required
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
