Virtual Premium Auditor

Midwest Technical Inspections (MTI) is seeking experienced virtual premium auditors to work on an independent contractor basis. MTI provides nationwide premium audit services for clients in the insurance industry and conducts audits of Workers Compensation, Commercial General Liability and Garage Liability policies primarily. Headquartered in Hanover Park, Illinois, MTI specializes in verified and physical audits. Verified audits are the process of conducting a physical audit virtually. Our auditors examine primary and secondary source documents to determine accurate exposures. We research businesses in all industries to correctly classify the risk, verify the classification of employees and convey all relevant information back to our clients. In addition to premium audits, MTI (established in 1988) provides field inspections, telephone inspections, safety consulting, and loss control services. As an independent contractor virtual premium auditor for MTI, you will enjoy a: Fully remote position – You will work from your home office 100% of the time. Flexible schedule Supportive and caring management team Variety of workload in types and complexities of premium audits We are seeking full-time independent contractor virtual premium auditors to: Perform virtual premium audits for Workers Compensation, Commercial General Liability and Garage Liability policies. Examine financial records such as payroll registers, tax returns, general ledgers, and sales journals to determine the correct premium base and exposures. Complete quality, accurate, and timely audit reports by using company software. Deliver superior internal and external customer service. The ideal virtual premium auditor should have: Minimum of 3 years Premium Audit experience. Proficiency with payroll documents and financial statements. Working knowledge of class codes, PAAS, ISO, NCCI and state rules. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to independently manage assigned audits. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and have a solid sense of self-motivation and self-discipline. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree 5 years Premium Audit experience APA and/or CPCU Designation Familiarity with Nexus Audit Software #J-18808-Ljbffr Rhode Island Bar Assn.
