Adult Health Clinical Faculty (Part-Time)

Position Overview Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks a Part‑Time Clinical Nursing Faculty to mentor BSN students in an inpatient clinical setting in the Milwaukee, WI area. This role bridges classroom learning and real‑world patient care, ensuring students are well prepared and confident in their ability to provide high‑quality care. Scheduling Schedule determined by course need and clinical specialty for each 8‑week session. Typically scheduled for 3‑4 consecutive 12‑hour shifts over 1‑2 weeks per session. Responsibilities Teaching and Curriculum Implementation Implement the College’s philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service. Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads. Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students. Student Evaluation and Support Develop and post written clinical assignments aligned with students’ knowledge base, skill competency, and learning needs. Evaluate and provide documented feedback on performance based on course objectives. Provide remediation as needed and return graded work in a timely manner. Clinical Coordination Orient and maintain current knowledge of clinical site policies, procedures, and expectations with clinical site personnel. Maintain visibility and availability to staff and students at the clinical site. Program and College Development Contribute to ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the programs and College. Participate in the College Assessment Program, campus retention efforts, and institutional policies. May teach simulation/skills lab and/or didactic content under supervision of the course coordinator. Professionalism and Collaboration Serve as a professional role model for faculty, staff, and students. Use relationship skills for group problem solving, consensus building, and negotiation. Collaborate with college administration, staff, and faculty to improve operations and student satisfaction. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting Comply with applicable regulatory rules and standards. Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues. Report to the dean or assistant dean with oversight from the course coordinator. Perform related duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards. Qualifications Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution. Unencumbered professional RN nursing license in Wisconsin. Illinois RN license required for teaching all courses (priority for those currently licensed in Illinois). Active BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network). At least two years professional experience within the last five years in an area of instruction as a registered nurse. Additional Information In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected compensation rate for this position is between $1,120 per assignment and $7,245 per assignment.
