Medical Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's healthcare facility in El Paso, TX .


Job Details:
Schedule: 8am-5pm Monday- Friday
Location: El Paso, TX 79907
Job Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (possibility of extension)
Pay Range: $21 to $23.00/hour*
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.


Duties:

• Demonstrate knowledge of basic medical procedures, including assessing patient vital signs and understanding EKG tracings.
• Apply knowledge of medical terminology, standard precautions, bloodborne pathogens, and other exposure risks.
• Follow applicable state and federal healthcare regulations, including HIP nd scope-of-practice requirements.
• Follow internal company and department-specific policies, procedures, protocols, and workflows.
• Use relevant healthcare computer systems, including scheduling, practice management, electronic health records, medical records, claims, and billing systems.

Requirements:

• Education: High school
• Certification(s): CMA and BLS
• Years of experience: 1+ year
