Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has opportunities for an Associate Aeronautical Engineer or Aeronautical Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA.

• Designs, develops, and tests a variety of power plants, aircraft, missiles, and parts, taking into consideration the most efficient use of the natural laws affecting flight.
• Establishes structural specifications, performs stress analysis, and conducts performance tests.

This role may be filled at either an Associate Engineer (Level 1) or Systems Test Engineer (Level 2) level.

Basic Qualifications:

For Engineer (Level 1):

• Must have a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a Master's Degree and 0 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering.

• Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. government Secret clearance.

• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) as determined by business needs

For Principal Engineer (Level 2):

• Must have a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering, OR a Master's Degree and 0 years of related professional/military experience in Systems Engineering.

• Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. government Secret clearance.

• Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) as determined by business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

• An active U.S. government Secret clearance or higher (with background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

• Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.

• Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.

Primary Level Salary Range: $76,200.00 - $114,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $114,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
