About Us:

Clayful , an early-stage EdTech startup, is a mission-driven team of educators, coaches, and education tech experts dedicated to tackling the youth mental wellness crisis. Our goal: provide every 5-12th grade student in the U.S. with accessible, immediate, and transformative mental health support

A High-level Overview of the Role

• Clayful is seeking licensed mental health professionals to supervise and develop trained mental wellness coaches who support young people (grades 5–12) via chat-based and audio/video coaching sessions.
• This is a part time 1099 contract position
• Supervisors support during and after school hours (5am-10pm PT). We are looking for evening shift coverage 6-10 pm PT and/or 2-6 pm PT.
• Most supervisors work M-F 20-25 hours per week, but there is flexibility with your schedule
• You will manage multiple tech platforms to perform your job, so being tech savvy is essential.
• $30/hour with growth opportunity

The Role

You'll be the steady presence behind the coaches — the person they reach for when a conversation gets heavy, and the person who helps them get sharper over time. Coaching builds skills for right now and what's ahead; your job is to make sure every coach does that well, safely, and within scope.

To be explicit: Clayful supervisors do not provide therapy or clinical treatment to students. You support coaches, safeguard the boundaries of the coaching model, and escalate when a situation calls for more than coaching can offer.

What You'll Do

• Provide live support to coaches on shift — answer questions, provide coaching direction & consult in real time when a conversation escalates
• Review chat and session transcripts against Clayful's coach quality rubric and deliver feedback that's specific, direct, and usable
• Manage coaches alongside the Coach Success Lead — review time sheets and ensure coaches are following necessary policies & operations while maintaining excellent coach quality
• Surface patterns across sessions that should shape coach training, cheat sheets, and program content
• Send personalized follow up messages to Clayful users to drive engagement

What You'll Need

1. Licensed in a mental health related field, social work or counseling. 

2. 4 years experience in the mental health field — including supervising, mentoring, or coaching other practitioners
3. Direct experience with youth — including risk assessment, safety planning, and mandated reporting
4. Tech savviness — ability to multi-task, make decisions under pressure, learn new technology tools & work in a text-based remote environment.
5. Reliable laptop or desktop and internet (50+ Mbps download)
6. A private, distraction-free workspace
7. Must reside and remain in the U.S. for the duration of the contract
