Registered Nurse (RN) Freestanding ER Lorton, VA, United States Full time shift: 1pm-1am, three shifts per week. Sign‑on bonus and relocation available. Inova Lorton Healthplex Emergency Room seeks an experienced Emergency Room RN to join our team. The 24‑hour Emergency Room is the only ambulance‑access emergency department in Lorton. It has 18 beds and is staffed with board‑certified emergency physicians, emergency nurses with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, and offers 24‑hour lab testing and radiology (X‑ray, CT scan, ultrasound). Responsibility Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination with a patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team perspective. Conduct all patient care in a patient‑ and family‑centered manner. Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes. Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery. Minimum Qualifications Experience : minimum one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. Education : BSN from an accredited nursing school; if holding an Associate’s Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within five years of start date. License : RN license or eligibility in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association. Proficient in English and have strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required. Preferred Qualifications Strongly prefer two or more years of Emergency Department RN experience. CEN/ACLS certification desired.
