Job Description

This role focuses on assembling aerospace and aviation components using electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment on a first-shift schedule. You will perform wiring, soldering, and production assembly by following detailed documentation such as blueprints, schematics, and work instructions. The position requires careful attention to quality, traceability, and safety while working with specialized tools and equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aerospace components and subassemblies in accordance with approved work instructions, assembly prints, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform precision soldering and epoxy adhesion on electronic and mechanical parts using solder stations and epoxy applicators.
• Interpret and follow assembly prints, schematics, and other technical documentation to ensure accurate builds.
• Use shop tools, basic hand tools, and mechanical or hydraulic presses to perform mechanical and electronic assembly tasks.
• Document the traceability of components and consumables used in assemblies on manufacturing orders to maintain accurate records.
• Inspect work during and after assembly to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Communicate issues, nonconformances, or improvement opportunities to the Production Supervisor or appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to all company procedures and policies related to safety, quality, and workplace conduct.
• Follow safety rules and guidelines when working near high-temperature equipment and other shop machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area to support consistent production flow.
• Perform repetitive assembly procedures and techniques while maintaining focus and attention to detail.
• Carry out other duties as assigned to support production goals and team objectives.

Essential Skills

• Experience with wiring, soldering, and electronic assembly in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, assembly prints, and work instructions.
• Hands-on experience using small hand tools, shop tools, and mechanical or hydraulic presses.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail in both mechanical and electronic assembly tasks.
• Ability to work with solder stations, epoxy applicators, and related assembly equipment.
• Capability to interpret specifications and drawings to complete assemblies correctly.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills to support measurement, counting, and documentation tasks.
• Ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred work experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in aviation or aerospace production.
• Previous experience in hands-on production work using small hand tools and shop equipment.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately and consistently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively share information and escalate issues.
• Comfort working with electronic, electrical, and mechanical components in a production setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
• Willingness to follow established procedures and contribute feedback for process improvements.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, first-shift position operating Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You will work in a manufacturing setting that involves electronic and mechanical assembly for aviation and aerospace applications. The environment includes proximity to high-temperature heat presses and moderate noise levels, requiring consistent attention to safety procedures. The role is physically active and requires regular standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching with hands and arms, and frequent use of hands and fingers to handle small components and tools. You may occasionally lift and move up to 30 pounds. The position also requires strong visual acuity, including close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Assembly tasks are repetitive in nature, and you will regularly use hand tools, soldering equipment, epoxy applicators, and other shop equipment in a structured production environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Tulsa,OK.
