Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (Night Shift) Location Texas Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Job Description The competent Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) setting practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. This role involves providing both routine and complex care, working towards long-range goals or plans while continuing to develop skills to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Responsibilities Practices in accordance with the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Delivers nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administers medications and treatments according to protocols; monitors side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers, while identifying issues and resources. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred. 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA only). TNCC certification is also preferred. Current RN License in state of Texas or compact state. Why ARMStaffing?
