We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) PCU / Medical-Surgical / Telemetry for a 13-week contract in Newport, Vermont. The RN will provide patient care across PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry settings within a critical access hospital environment.

The RN must be able to work independently, perform charge nurse responsibilities, and float to other qualified clinical areas, including the Emergency Department and Maternal-Child Health, based on staffing needs.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU, Medical-Surgical, and Telemetry patients during 12-hour night shifts.

• Assess patient conditions, implement individualized nursing interventions, and monitor responses to treatment.

• Work independently and perform charge nurse duties as required.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate safe and effective patient care.

• Float to other qualified clinical areas, including the Emergency Department and Maternal-Child Health, when staffing needs require.

• Minimum 5 Years of Registered Nurse Experience Required, Including PCU, Medical-Surgical, or Telemetry Experience.

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure Required Upon Acceptance; Applicable Vermont Practice Requirements Must Be Met Before Start.

• Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required.

• Current ACLS Certification Required.

• Ability to Work 12-Hour Night Shifts, Every Other Weekend, Holidays, Perform Charge Nurse Duties, and Float to Other Qualified Units Required.

This contract opportunity is suited for an experienced PCU/Med-Surg/Telemetry RN comfortable working independently, providing charge coverage, and supporting multiple clinical areas in a critical access hospital setting.
